All appointments with a doctor require a referral from your GP. Allied Health appointments can be made without a referral, but you may miss out on a Medicare rebate without one. Ask reception when you book your appointment if you are unsure.
Wait times vary according to which provider you would like to see and your child’s symptoms. We have clear policies on the triaging of referrals, with priority being given to children with potentially life threatening medical conditions. Please contact your nearest CVCH clinic to find out how long current wait times are with your preferred provider.
No, we do not provide emergency medical care at any of our clinics. If you believe your child is seriously unwell, please contact your nearest hospital emergency department.
All our clinics have online patient claiming facilities for our own providers. Visiting specialists, however, cannot access this facility. To confirm if your provider uses Online Patient Claims, please check with the reception staff before your appointment.
All appointments must be paid in full on the day. We accept cash, cheque and credit cards (not American Express). Unfortunately, clients with unpaid accounts can not be rebooked until payment has been made.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule any appointments, so please provide as much notice as possible. This allows us to fill your spot from our wait list.
